Oh, and a new trailer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle! Awesome. I've been waiting for a nice juicy gameplay piece. You know, something to really convey the flow of the game, rather than the admittedly impressive but very fragmented bits we've had so far. Now, let's sit back and… oh, wait. Wait. That's just actor Troy Baker telling me about all the great acting he's going to do. It's awesome, by the way. He's doing a fantastic job. Maybe just, you know, a little acknowledgement or clarification on the whole “interactivity” part?
Anyway, don't worry. I'm just an old fool who likes to push buttons. And, to be fair, it's not like Machinegames doesn't have a great track record. Anyway, here's some good news: the game will be released on December 9th of this year. Here's a trailer for the release date.
Wait, turns out I'm talking crap. This has literally never happened before! This long-awaited explanation actually exists, and on this very site, no less! Edwin spoke with game director Jerk Gustafsson and thinks the game will be both “a more 'chilled' Wolfenstein and Riddick with Nazis.” Not bad!
“The larger scenarios give you the ability to be sneaky or violent, hitting guards in a particular order and hiding bodies, or using props. You can throw spears to create surfaces to swing on, for example,” Edwin writes. “You also have the ability to disguise yourself – certain episodes of the story require this, and you’ll build up a wardrobe of outfits that you can change depending on the situation. One particular scenario might have you playing the servant, bringing wine to a fascist with a grudge. It doesn’t feel like an Agent 47-level exercise in social camouflage to me, though the idea of a Hitman level set in one of Indy’s tombs with a cast of stranded stormtroopers has a certain appeal.”
