Saudi authorities thwart attempt to smuggle about 350,000 narcotic pills across Iraqi border

RIYADH: The Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics Festival 2024 in Riyadh from September 2 to 30 will explore the history and future of the petrochemical industry, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.

The event was organized under the theme “The Joy of Chemistry: The Multidisciplinary World of Petrochemicals” by King Salman Science Park.

The conference will explore past oil discoveries, the latest innovations with a focus on sustainability, emerging technologies, and current environmental challenges, which form part of Vision 2030.

The festival, which is being inaugurated under the patronage of Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Governor of Riyadh Region, is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors, including students, teachers and families.

The event will include scientific workshops, discussion sessions and interactive exhibitions.

King Salman Science Oasis is a non-profit organization established through a strategic partnership between the Riyadh Philanthropic Foundation for Science and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.

It aims to promote national values, belonging, global citizenship, and develop a culture of lifelong learning, innovation and entrepreneurship.
