What are we all playing this weekend?

Hello, hello, hello! Edwin here chatting. I don't usually do these weekend posts, but Ollie and James are busy working their magic (getting rid of Black Myth: Wukong for guides and fleeing Gamescom), while Nic can no longer type full words without getting his hands eaten (see the latest national update, below). I know Ollie usually does a picture puzzle for you, but I'm relatively innocent when it comes to Photoshop and, more importantly, very lazy – so lazy that I can't think of a nice way to end this paragraph, and I'm going to say right away: here's what we're all playing this weekend.

Brendy
I downloaded the Wilmot Works It Out demo because I want to see what nonsense is going to unfold for my little square manimal mind. I just know that these puzzles he orders aren't going to be normal.

Kiera
This weekend I'm going to be playing some super secret games for the guides. Other than that, it's a holiday, so I'm mostly planning on drinking wine, eating pizza, and chilling out watching trashy TV shows.

Jeremy
…is still on vacation, unfazed by annoying Slack notifications about sending his stuff for weekend features.

Graham
…I didn't respond in time, so I'm legally obligated to play whatever I decide to write here based on the Steam rankings with a finger over my closed eyes. Have fun playing *opens eyes* Wallpaper Engine, Graham.

Ollie
…is probably neck-deep in Scorpionlords. Aim for the tail, Ollie!

Jacques
…has now tracked down every video game at Gamescom, submerged them in carbonite, and shipped them to our labs for analysis. He sleeps the sleep of the righteous.

Ed
As it's a bank holiday weekend here in the UK, I'll be spending time with my parents and friends. In between going out, I'm looking to catch up on the anime I haven't watched in ages. Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, time for it.

Nic
I'm having a star wars game for the review. But I'm mostly going to play “my hand is actually a really big spider that sometimes jumps on you to scratch you” with my cat. It's the only toy he's been interested in so far.

Edwin
I'm dying to play Blasphemous 2 after writing The Game Kitchen's The Stone Of Madness, but if I play anything it'll probably be Arco, a fantastic anti-colonial tactical RPG that launched this week and got a bit lost in the Gamescom shuffle.

But you, dear reader, what are you playing this weekend?
